Choose by Procedure, Formula and Consistency
Start with the intended procedure area before comparing shade or formula category. A pigment designed for brows should not automatically be used for lips, eyeliner, scalp, areola or camouflage procedures. Confirm the exact product’s intended application before purchase or use.
Organic, inorganic and hybrid describe different pigment formula categories, while liquid and cream describe handling characteristics. These labels alone do not determine which pigment is best for every artist, technique or client. Selection should consider the procedure area, client assessment, desired healed color direction, pigment consistency, technique and compatible equipment.
Professional Color Selection
Evaluate the client’s natural coloring, undertone, existing pigmentation, target result and procedure history before selecting a shade. The visible color in the bottle or container should not be treated as an exact preview of the final healed result.
Mix only compatible shades intended for the same procedure category and follow the applicable product instructions. Record the selected product, shade names and mixing ratios for each client and procedure.
Healed Results and Product Documentation
Healed color and pigment retention can vary according to the selected pigment, procedure area, skin or tissue characteristics, technique, implantation, equipment, aftercare and individual healing response. No single healed result or retention period can be guaranteed for every client.
Product documentation and market-specific testing information vary by series, shade or SKU, destination market, document scope and version. Confirm documentation for the exact product before relying on any compliance or testing reference.
For trained professionals only. Review the individual product page and applicable local requirements before selecting, combining or using PMU pigments.
